Rev. Cheryl West

In 1998, after several years of in various facets of ministry, including five years of theological study, Cheryl was ordained by at her home church in Keansburg, New Jersey.

Rev. Cheryl spent 7 years in India with Esther Sidat, the manager of B.C.H. Mission in U.P.  She ministered in both the mission school and church, and then returned to the US along with Esther.  For three years, Esther and Cheryl itinerated, sharing with various churches in New York, New Jersey, Virginia and the mid-west about their work in India. Cheryl had the opportunity to speak at a number of church retreats and conferences. She spent a year helping a church in Williamsburg, NY, preaching on Sunday evenings.

1998, Cheryl received an invitation to speak at a week-long adult retreat east of Toronto, Canada. Several months later, they were invited to join the church’s pastoral staff for one year.

In 1999, Cheryl joined the Rexdale Alliance Church in Toronto. In 2000, she was accredited with the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) of Canada. Later that year she joined SIM Canada as a missionary, and in a contractual partnership with the Rexdale church, founded and co-directed the SAFrN (South Asian Friendship Network) ministries along with Esther. During the years she served in Toronto, Cheryl ministered in the Chinese congregation of the church, and the pastor, a single woman serving the Lord for many years, became a dear friend.

Cheryl left Toronto in June of 2006 to live among her family members. She had not had the privilege of doing this for the better part of 20 years. She makes her home with Esther in Monroe, NJ.
