Mrs. Mary Udaya Pulipati

Oct 30, 1944 – Feb 15, 2025

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

2 Timothy 4:7

Mrs. Udaya Pulipati was called to glory on February 15th, 2025, surrounded by her family after a beautiful prayer meeting held in her honor. To her friends and colleagues, she was known as Mary, while her family and church members affectionately referred to her as Udaya.

Born to Mr. Nittala Manasseh Philip and Mrs. Kamala Philip in Rajahmundry, A.P. India, Mrs. Udaya Pulipati graduated from Andhra University with a Bachelors in Education, a second Bachelors in History, Politics, and English Literature, a Masters in English Language and Literature, and finally a Masters in Biblical Studies from the University of Allahabad, UP. She dedicated over 20 years of her career as an English lecturer in India before immigrating to the USA, where she continued her professional journey working in health insurance.

Mrs. Udaya Pulipati was happily married to Mr. Vijay Pulipati for 54 years. She is survived by her husband, Vijay, and three children with their spouses: Mrs. Esther Moodey, wife of Mr. Paul Moodey; Mr. Francis Pulipati, husband of Mrs. Hadassah Pulipati; and Mrs. Elizabeth Gummadi, wife of Mr. Paul Gummadi. Her nine grandchildren: Dr. Philip Gurunadam Moodey, Dr. Daniel Gyanadeep Moodey, Jason Alexander Moodey, Andrew Israel Moodey, Ezekiel ShanthiNirmal Pulipati, David Nathaniel Pulipati, Thalitha Cumi Pulipati, Jacob Isaiah Gummadi, and Caleb Justin Gummadi. Her parents and three brothers preceded her in passing, and her only surviving younger sister, Dr. Sarah Bushi, stays in the UK

Mrs. Udaya Pulipati was a radiant woman with a bright smile that reflected her joyful heart and eyes that sparkled with love. She embodied faith, grace, love, forgiveness, wisdom, and resilience. Her family was central to her life, particularly her nine cherished grandchildren. As a devoted follower of the Lord Jesus, Mrs. Udaya Pulipati was a powerful witness to Him. She was actively involved in her church, conducting Bible studies, delivering countless sermons, and sharing the gospel with many.

Mrs. Udaya Pulipati will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. She will live on in our hearts forever. We thank and praise God for her beautiful life.
