Gracious God, we praise you and thank you for all that you have
bestowed upon us - for this day in which we have our being - for
your Word which refreshes us as we open ourselves to it - for your wisdom which comes to us as we follow Jesus - for the light that shines upon us when we turn to you in prayer. Help us this day to glorify your name in our hymns and songs and in our prayers and meditations - and by all that we say and do. Help us to be the salt of the earth and a light to the world. We ask it through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
