Eternal spirit of God we come to you in prayer reaching out with a longing for connection, we awaken to your truth, but we are aware that these moments are like vapor because we always go back to the real world and soon forget that you met with us here, yet there is in our hearts the desire to crown you Lord of our lives. O Lord we are torn, too busy, too bothered by the transient things of this world, too caught up with its values, its pressure and appeal. Lord please bring peace in our restlessness, free us from the vanity of the external and lead us to the richness of your spirit.

Help us to listen to your still small voice amid the clamor of our own chatter. Embolden us to live out your presence each day in all that we are and do. Eternal light shine into our hearts, eternal goodness, deliver us from evil, eternal power be our support, eternal wisdom scatter the darkness of our ignorance. Eternal merciful god have mercy on us, that with all our heart and mind and soul and strength we may seek your face and be brought by your infinite grace into your holy presence through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

  • From GSP: Take Exit 137 to Roselle Park. At the end of the ramp, make left at the traffic light (Rte 28-Westfield Ave). Pass about six traffic lights and make left on to Chestnut Street. Make right turn onto Grant Ave. at the first traffic light. The church is on your left and the parking lot is just behind the church.
