Heavenly father, we thank you for this opportunity to come into your holy presence and behold your splendor, experience your mercy and feel the warmth of your love, and be empowered by your spirit into a renewal of our faith and spirit. We are aware that we easily slip away from the path you have chosen for us sometimes because we so pressurized by the circumstances we are in, sometimes the pull of the world comes so strong, but most often we make choices that are impulsive. We prevent your grace from working in our lives. Therefore we come in confession because your holy word reminds that you are always merciful and your love is unfailing. Please Lord forgive us, cleanse us, and by your spirit, affirm your presence and assure us that we are cleansed and called to serve you as we go about our various tasks of life. Put within us a sensitivity to your spirit and a strong resolve to follow you in our thoughts word and deeds. We await your holy word of blessing. Bless us now and use even us for the glory of your name and the good of your people. Make this time one which encourages our failing faith and commitment to you. We surrender ourselves to the power of your word. Be exalted O Lord in our lives. May every action of ours become a reflection of your rule in our lives. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
