People: We offer refuge to those in distress

Leader: We come together as United Christians offering hope to all who come through our doors

People: May our open hearts be a welcome refuge to all who enter.

*Opening Prayer (in Unison) Gracious God, we thank you for the abundance in our lives. We confess that we so easily forget the blessings we receive. Forgive us for neglecting to love our neighbor. Guide us to reach out to those who are suffering and in pain. Bless our time of worship and use us for your glory. In the name of Jesus our Lord we pray. Amen!

Pastor Joshua Rowand

Pastor Joshua Rowand served as a children's and mission pastor for almost 4 years at Evangel Chapel in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

"Since the age of twelve I have felt the Lord calling me to missions, and as I got older, I specifically felt called to preach the gospel in places it has not yet been proclaimed. I am very excited to announce that I will be part of a new church planting initiative in the 9 countries in Central Eurasia, based out of Istanbul, Turkey. While there, my role will be two-fold. First, I will be helping develop the infrastructure for future missionaries to funnel into this part of the world and plant churches in a team approach. Second, I will be a “Team Leader in Training,” learning and serving on a church plant team to unreached people groups."

He received his Masters of Education from Southeastern University.
