Everlasting God, you come to us shrouded in mystery. We seek to follow Christ up to the mountaintop where he was transfigured with Moses and Elijah. We long to follow you until the end, but are afraid that we might not be up to the journey. Give us such faith that we too may see the heavens open, and hear your voice to follow your Son, who taught us to pray. Amen.
