*Opening Prayer(in unison): Eternal God, we thank You for keeping us company in all our senseless wanderings, You walk beside us in the familiar and the new, You journey with us in the tradition and change, You are with us when You show Your glory and we cause You to hide Your face. We thank You for grace and steadfast love whether our days are sunny and bright or gloomy and dark, when we are benevolent or selfish. When we seek the honor of men and fail to walk with You, O God forgive us and renew our spirit this morning so that we may worship You and leave this holy place with joy in our hearts and a song on our lips that glorify Your holy name. Nurture in us a desire to love You above all else, let Your Spirit come upon us so that we may become involved in outreach, let Your Word become foundational in our lives so that we may become witnesses, do all these things we pray for in our lives now.
