WE COME ON THIS FIRST SUNDAY OF THE NEW YEAR, HOLY FATHER HEAVENLY KING, RECOGNIZING THAT YOU ARE GOD WITH US. YOU HAVE REMAINED FAITHFUL WHILE WE HAVE ERRED AND SOUGHT OUR OWN WAYS, WE HAVE MADE CHOICES WHICH HAVE LED US FURTHER AWAY FROM YOU, WE HAVE BECOME SO CAUGHT UP WITH OURSELVES THAT OUR ACTIONS DENY YOUR LORDSHIP, WE COME SEEKING YOUR FORGIVNESS AND HEALING, AND BY YOUR GRACE BE RESTORED TO A RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. WE COME SEEKING TO WORSHIP YOU IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH, WE COME CONFESSING OUR MANY FAULTS AND SINS, WE COME ACKNOWLEDGING THAT OUR MOTIVES HAVE BEEN ASKEW.
FORGIVE US LORD, CLEANSE US WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CALVARY, AND MAKE OUR HEARTS COMPLIANT WITH YOUR WORD AND WILL. LEAD US TO THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND DISCIPLESHIP, SO THAT OUR LIVES MAY BECOME A REFLECTION OF YOUR SPIRIT. ACCEPT OUR PRAISE AND HEAR OUR PRAYERS, AS WE WAIT IN YOUR HOLY PRESENCE, MAKE THIS TIME A HALLOWED HOUR. THIS WE PRAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN!
