Leader: Two thousand years ago, magi followed a star to the epiphany of God. People: We follow our desires and habits, hoping for a burst of revelation in the familiar humdrum of our lives. Leader: Like the magi, we need light to show us the way to experience God's incarnate presence. People: God of Light, pierce our blindness, penetrate our unbelief. God of Epiphany, reveal your presence, flood our souls with evidence of your love. Leader: Two thousand years ago, magi bowed at a manger, where they found a king unlike any ruler the world had ever known. People: Revealing God, in your presence today, we also bow down; hoping, trusting, praying, surrendering ourselves to Christ's sovereignty over us.
