About the Author
A. W. Tozer (1897–1963)
Aiden Wilson Tozer (1897–1963) was an American pastor, editor and writer associated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Largely self-taught, he pastored Southside Alliance Church in Chicago for over three decades and, later in his ministry, served as editor of the denomination’s magazine, The Alliance Witness (known today as Alliance Life). He is best remembered for devotional and theological works such as The Pursuit of God and The Knowledge of the Holy, and for a body of essays and editorials, including those gathered in this volume, that pressed readers toward a deeper, more worshipful knowledge of God. Tozer died in 1963; That Incredible Christian was published the following year.
