About this edition

This web edition was built from a specific published print volume: The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Bible, New King James Version (Thomas Nelson, a division of HarperCollins Christian Publishing). It reproduces that edition's NKJV Scripture text and its full set of study features — Dr. Stanley's Life Principles, verse-by-verse "life lessons" notes, textual footnotes, and book introductions — extracted directly from the publisher's own PDF.

This edition is fully copyrighted. Unlike the historical 1611/1769 King James Version, the New King James Version (NKJV) Scripture text is itself © 1982 Thomas Nelson, and every study feature in this edition — the Life Principles, the life-lessons notes, the footnotes, the book introductions — is separately © Thomas Nelson / Dr. Charles F. Stanley. Nothing in this edition is public domain. See Copyright below.

The New King James Version® is a registered trademark, and the NKJV Scripture text is copyright © 1982 Thomas Nelson. Used by permission. All rights reserved. The Life Principles, life-lessons notes, footnotes, book introductions, and all other study material original to The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Bible are copyright © Thomas Nelson and Dr. Charles F. Stanley. All rights reserved.

This site does not claim ownership of any of this content. UECF.NET built this web reader as a technical proof of concept — a real, working, searchable Bible study site — from a PDF already in hand. Publishing it, or any part of its NKJV Scripture text or study notes, on the public, indexed uecf.net domain requires written permission from Thomas Nelson / HarperCollins Christian Publishing first. Until that permission is obtained, this page and every page of this reader are marked noindex, nofollow and are intended to stay unlisted / access-limited rather than openly published and promoted. A full account of the licensing situation and what to do about it is in the project's Copyright Assessment, delivered alongside this site.

What "Life Principles" and "life lessons" are

Dr. Stanley organizes this edition around 30 numbered Life Principles — recurring biblical truths (e.g. "Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him") introduced at their key Scripture location and cross-referenced throughout the Bible. Alongside them, most verses carry a short devotional life lesson, and many chapters include a boxed "What the Bible Says About…" topical article. These, together with the textual footnotes (translation notes on the Hebrew/Greek/Aramaic, marked with superscript letters in the text) and each book's introduction, are this edition's study material — kept visually distinct from the Scripture text itself throughout this reader, and shown in the right-hand notes panel (or the Notes tab on mobile) rather than mixed into the verse text.

Extraction accuracy

This site's text was extracted automatically from the source PDF's character-level layout data (font family, size, and position — not OCR), then validated by comparing every chapter's verse count against an independent public-domain versification reference. 31,101 of 31,102 expected verses matched exactly (99.997%); the one remaining gap is Psalm 119:100, whose verse-number glyph appears to be missing from the source PDF's own text layer (the verse's text is present, merged into the end of verse 99). A handful of ornamental drop-cap initial letters at the very start of a few front-matter paragraphs are similarly missing from the source PDF's text layer and are not reconstructed. The front-matter Life Principles Index and Promises Index (pages 18–47) are reproduced as a readable best-effort reflow rather than a pixel-exact re-layout of their original two-column, multi-section print design — for the exact original typesetting, each of those pages links to the matching page of the original PDF. A full account of what was checked, what was found, and what remains imperfect is in the project's Validation Report, delivered alongside this site.

The original PDF

This reader treats the publisher's PDF as the authoritative source. Every page links to the original, unmodified PDF so the exact print layout is always one click away; the file itself is served as-is and was not edited in any way to build this site.
