Jesus
Followers Ministries (JFM) is one
pioneering effort to present the Savior to
the Telugu People – estimated to be
about 80 Million across the globe.
It is estimated that just under 5%
of these know the Lord.
JFM focuses on bringing the Gospel
to the Telugu People.

About the Jesus Followers Ministries
Rev.
Joshi was led to create JFM in 1998 with a
unique vision and purpose for the
unreached Telugu people after having
served the Lord for more than 15 years as
a full-time missionary on the field and in
the media. With
Hyderabad
as its capital and the entire Telugu
speaking people as its mission-field JFM
is today truly the only global Telugu
ministry bringing glory to God and taking
his Word to the Telugu people.

Evangelism
JFM has over 100 native missionaries
working across Andhra Pradesh.
The missionaries belonging to the
native communities spread the Gospel.
Rev Joshi supports the field by
organizing campaigns and meetings round
the year in all seasons.

Ministry
Radio reaches even remote parts of the
state where people can receive the gospel
sitting in their homes.
Rev. Joshi speaks through the
program “Raakada
Dhwani – The Heralding of His Coming”
broadcast through FEBA Radio. The 5 day a
week half hour program takes the Word to
Millions of people across several
countries and
brought thousands of people to God
which now matured into a “Church
Planting” ministry.
Television
Ministry
In 2003, God enabled Rev.
Joshi to teach the Word through the
television which is now a popular media
for Christian Evangelism.
The program – “Samadhana Samayam – The Time of Peace” broadcast on Teja TV
channel once every week brings Gods Word
into peoples’ hearts and homes.
The TV Ministry has led to a
stronger counseling and prayer ministry.
Magazine
Ministry
The Radio and TV programs led to a strong
“Church Planting” ministry that
brought thousands of people to God.
New believers are supported through
Radio & TV and spiritual literature.
Rev. Joshi is the editor and
principal author of the Christian
spiritual magazine – “Yesu
Anucharulu – Jesus Followers”
published in Telugu.
This magazine is distributed to
anyone who asks for it freely and the
monthly circulation exceeds over 15,000
copies – the highest for any non-English
Christian magazine in
India
.
Church
Planting Ministry
JFM Missionaries gather new believers and
enable them to have fellowship in small
village level churches.
JFM provides these tiny Churches
with financial, material and spiritual
assistance.
Native believers are nurtured by
Missionaries from the same regional and
social background.
The tiny churches provide
Village-level prayer cells and they are
encouraged to take the Lord’s message
further and support the Missionary locally
to undertake growth through evangelism.

Prayer & Counseling Ministry
Listeners
and Viewers of Radio & TV Programs are
encouraged to call Rev. Joshi for prayer
and counseling.
Hundreds of people call everyday to
receive personalized support – Touching
each soul, one at a time.
Bible
School Ministry
Rev. Joshi personally selects people from
across the state with missionary zeal and
passion for Christ.
These people are trained
meticulously at
Hyderabad
to become missionaries.
After training for a period of 3
months, they go back to their native and
begin their work.
The missionaries are supported by
other ministries of JFM to effectively
carry out their work. They
are periodically visited by senior and
experienced people of God and encouraged.
They are provided financial
assistance and other facilities like
literature, bicycles, etc.
New
Projects Prayed For
JFM is praying for new projects and
strengthening of existing ministries.
Internet ministry is effective in
reaching new age people – students and
professionals.
Missionary Children Education
project aims to provide good quality
education through residential school –
aimed to benefit only children of poor
missionaries across the state.
Missionaries Support Ministry aims
at providing missionaries and families
better living and working conditions.
Literature Ministry plans to print
and distribute Spiritual Literature to
both missionaries and Believers, even
common man. Popular books in English and
other languages, messages of great
Preachers are planned to be translated and
printed in Telugu.
Prayers, new ideas and support are
desired for the new and existing projects.
About
Rev. Dr. P. Joshi
He was the only child of his poor parents
who earned their livelihood working in the
fields in a small village in Andhra
Pradesh. Born in 1947, his childhood was a
time of penury and hardship.
Being brilliant in studies from a
very young age, he received help and
encouragement of his teachers allowing him
to continue with his studies and graduated
in Maths and Sciences and later electrical
engineering from the Andhra University in
the year 1969 passing out with
distinction.
Having
accepted Jesus as his Saviour at the
tender age of 15, Rev. Joshi actively
participated in Christian missionary work
in Andhra, even as a student.
While pursuing his rewarding
career, God called him to full-time
ministry in the year 1982.
In 1984, he was invited to join
Trans World Radio (TWR) which launched
Christian broadcasting on radio to speak
on the program – “Premadhara” in
Telugu. His endurance and dedication
enabled Him to teach the entire Bible
verse-by-verse in 7 years ending in 1988
on the program and this effort stands
today as the only testimony in Telugu
Christian Broadcasting.
His program had the highest
listener-ship ever (estimated to be over
10 million listeners at one time) for any
Christian radio broadcasted program in
India
in any language.
In all he spoke for 14 years on the
Radio through TWR and is a very well
recognized voice of the Word of God.
God
also used Rev. Joshi in evangelism and
took him to all far flung reaches of the
state and he enabled bringing lakhs of
Telugu people to salvation
He was invited to attend the
Itinerant Evangelists’ Conference in
1986 organized by Dr. Billy Graham as a
Staff Member and Translator for him in
Amsterdam
.
In recognition of his dedicated
work, the Baptist Church Hyderabad,
sanctified him as “Reverend of the
Lord” in 1990. Rev. Joshi was awarded
the “Honorary Doctor of Theology” in
evangelism by the “
Temple
Baptist
College
”
USA
in the year 2001.
Rev. Joshi traveled to the United
States & Middle Eastern countries
preaching at special Telugu conferences
and conventions.
He also visited
Israel
and lead believers through the holy sites
and places where Jesus walked and
preached.
Nearing
60 years of age, Rev. Dr. P. Joshi comes
forth as a humble servant of God ready as
always to take His Word. God continues to
use him mightily in His ministry and is
probably the best ever living evangelist
among the Telugu people.
